Description:

Performs routine lab duties under supervision. Participates/assists in the execution of non-routine experiments. Performs all work in conformance with applicable regulations. Performs all work in a safe manner. Works primarily within the laboratory environment.

Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Initiates and completes routine procedures in an efficient manner withsupervision; Operates and is responsible for lab equipment

  • Demonstratestechnical ability to assist in the execution of non-routine experiments andprocedures with supervision

  • Understands and applies basic scientific principles with guidance

  • Demonstrates the ability to correctly analyze and interpret outcome ofexperiments

  • Communicates own work orally and in writing and provides input forscientific reports

  • Reports and treats data with a high level of integrity and ethics

  • Complies with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner;Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies

Scientist I Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree froman accredited institution in relevant scientific discipline or equivalentexperience in a related field

  • Demonstratesknowledge of field

  • Ability to operatelaboratory equipment and apparatus

  • Ability to learnnew technology and concepts

  • Concise andaccurate reporting of technical data and information

  • Ability totroubleshoot

  • Written and verbalcommunication skills

  • Appropriate levelof understanding of applicable regulation

Scientist II Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related scientific discipline or Master’s Degree in related scientific discipline with no experience

  • Demonstrate knowledge of field

  • Project leadership skills

  • Apply knowledge of basic theory and scientific principles

  • Able to draft portions of technical reports

  • Ability to learn new technology and concepts and apply appropriately with minimal supervision

  • Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information

  • Ability to troubleshoot

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulations

  • Basic level of understanding of USDA and EMEA requirements of master seeds and raw materials is preferred

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
