This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.

The Asset Manager, under the direction of the US Launch Asset Lead, is accountable for the overall launch project plan development, integration and management for a pipeline product (or a portfolio of products). This role is responsible for creating and managing the overall launch plan and updating critical paths to launch, including internal and external events. The incumbent possesses strong project management, business acumen, agility, outstanding problem-solving skills and relevant TA expertise to steer, guide, challenge, and coach launch teams, while combining an asset first mindset within the launch team with the patient first mentality of the company.

The Asset Manager fosters ongoing relationships with engagement sponsors and business leads, planning for and scoping project opportunities, advising on solutions to key business problems, and effectively managing assigned projects to ensure successful completion and sponsor satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for documenting and tracking deliverables progress and interdependencies between teams as well as any risks to launch timelines and launch performance.

  • Accountable for LRR preparation, coordination with the Global Launch Readiness Office (LRO) and driving action item closure post Launch Readiness Review (LRR) meetings.

  • Ensures overall launch plan is developed, communicated, pressure-tested and meets corporate requirements.

  • Trains “M” teams and ‘Deliverable teams’ on how to populate key launch plan deliverables.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for co-promotion launch activities, if applicable.

  • Establishes and rolls out tools, templates and governance to manage the overall launch.

  • Strengthens each launch plan and determine if the product or therapeutic area requires a different or unique approach and what can be drawn and used from a “best in class” process and what is new and different for this launch.

  • Resolves deviations from plan in a timely and effective manner.

  • Develops and coordinates processes to ensure that all critical support functions such as Marketing, Medical Affairs, Health Systems, Market Access, Sales, Training, etc. are contributing at a high level.

  • Leads Core team, “M” Teams, and Deliverable teams working sessions to develop and manage the launch project plan.

  • Institutes a solid pre and post launch process supported by key performance indicators.

  • Builds project deliverables, including kickoff presentations, meeting decks, status memos, and final presentations.

  • Supports select workstreams (deep dives) where additional attention is required.

  • Leads launch summits to review draft plans by functional area.

  • Leads weekly/bi-weekly team meetings post-launch plan development.

  • Acts as a strategic partner for the launch lead and ‘M’ leads.

  • Shares best practices throughout pre-launch planning period.

  • Manages and oversees workstream deliverables and timelines.

  • Prioritizes launch activities and closes gaps quickly.

  • Conducts lessons learned (post-launch).

  • Presents information to launch teams and to leadership.

  • Leverages project management frameworks and resources to ensure achievement of project milestones and understand key interdependencies.

  • Responsible for delivering upon launch metrics.

  • Designs the tools to measure launch readiness at the strategic, tactical, and operational level (or working with agencies.

  • Partners with GTM Excellence to maintain and update a playbook for launch activities based on external benchmarking in the pharmaceutical and other industries, and internal best practices.

  • In conjunction with GTM Excellence, trains and educates cross functional teams on standard launch methods to ensure uniform implementation (launch excellence knowledge sharing) for the organization while drawing on industry best practices as well as Agile project Management strategies.

  • Maximizes synergies from launch to launch and ensures the lessons learned from launch experience are leveraged for future launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, science or related field; MBA or advanced graduate degree preferred.

  • Five to seven (5-7) years of overall business experience with a minimum of four (4) of those years in Pharmaceutical Marketing, New Product Launch, (Agile) Project Management, and/or Strategy Development Required.

  • Demonstrated strong project management, organizational, communication, attention to detail and time management skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict, and ability to influence teams without authority is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver results on large initiatives.

  • Proficiency with project management software required and professional project management certification and/or diploma is preferred.

  • Agile project management certified.

  • Lean Six Sigma and process improvement experience preferred.

  • Well-developed leadership skills.

  • Well-developed strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
