Boehringer Ingelheim Technician II, Formulation (Mon-Thurs 6am - 4:30pm) in Athens, Georgia

Description

The Technician II, Formulation will manufacture animal health vaccine medias/solutions following defined procedures and regulations for raw material management and media production.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing the activities associated with raw material management and the preparation of medias according to USDA regulations.

  • Ensures compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes.

  • Assists with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills.

  • Completes/Reviews in process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintenance of technical data and support documentation.

  • Participates in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalation of production flow disturbances.

  • Demonstrates a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives.

  • Assesses individual performance regarding the continuous improvement (AAI).

  • Participates and provides support to site projects and initiatives (including deviation and change control management).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred Biology Degree or related field, one (1) year or more of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience.

  • Basic math skills, equipment/automation trouble shooting skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
