Lead and provide direct oversight for the site Supply Chain team. Ensures a reliable global market supply of the AH product portfolio manufactured by the site and, where applicable, site managed Contract Manufacturing Organizations(CMOs)through transparent and accurate planning information, launch coordination, label management, product change and transfer management.
Provide proactive supply status of the AH product portfolio manufactured by the local site and, where applicable, locally managed CMOs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
Responsible for directing the site supply chain management department.
Accountable for leading and directing of accurate and compliant set-up, execution and governance of all site supply chain operations, processes, planning import/export, physical material flows and warehousing activities for the local site and, where applicable, site managed CMOs.
Responsible for optimizing, standardizing, and continuous improvement in the supply of products and the associated costs for transportation, warehousing, and destruction based on the given priorities, targets and guidelines of corporate BIAH Supply Network.
Establish and conduct Site SCM Tier process, monitoring performance and execution of CAPAs in case of deviations.
Promote site-wide supply chain education and knowledge.
Accountable for improving all supply planning related processes, inventory optimization and capacity planning.
Responsible for leading production & capacity planning and scheduling for site and supply planning for locally managed CMOs (where applicable) ensuring maximum output service level along with optimal capacity (production / packaging equipment and labor)and material utilization; responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities on production equipment.
Ensures contingency planning and prioritization of product supply in case of supply bottlenecks with business partners and in alignment with BIAH Global Supply Management.
Responsible for inventory management which includes monitoring and ensuring transparency of inventory levels at all stages to optimize inventory levels that meet market demands while minimizing holding costs and destructions/obsolescence for all site products.
Responsible for leading product procurement for the site.
Responsible for optimizing through-put times within the site supply chain to ensure stable and fast supply.
Import & Export:
Accountable for leading and directing accurate & compliant set-up, execution and governance of all import / export processes.
Accountable for compliant scheduling, set-up and execution of all export deliveries in compliance with product shipping conditions and supply chain security. Coordinate with freight forwarders and brokers.
Observance of country specific legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. foreign trade compliance) in line with direction from Export Control Officer.
Responsible for driving standardization, optimization for all import and export processes based on guidelines of BIAH Global Distribution and Logistics to ensure compliant product supply to optimize time and cost.
Responsible for optimization of transportation costs with respect to consolidation, mode of transport and support of tender processes initiated by global.
Accountable that export guidance and procedures given by global are established, monitored, executed and that in case of deviations CAPAs are performed.
Site Warehouse Management / Inventory Control:
Accountable for leading warehouse management for site ensuring maximum output service level along with optimal capacity.
Accountable for all site warehouse activities related to receiving, material storage, material handling, allocation of direct material to support manufacturing and destructions.
Accountable for label management and compliance.
Accountable for inventory control and cycle counting.
May be accountable for development, execution, and management of all third party warehousing contracts, as needed to support local POPU in coordination with local sourcing, as well as the physical distribution of goods from the facility.
Responsible for driving standardization, optimization for all warehouse processes based on guidelines of Global Distribution and Logistics to ensure compliant product storage, transportation and distribution to optimize time and cost.
Ensure site warehouse continually operates within all SOPs and required domestic and international regulatory compliance and EHSS laws and guidelines.
Launch & Change Services:
Project Manage all site operational activities linked to product launch, rationalization and change management in supply chain.
Responsible for accurate site operational master data quality, master data workflows and processes.
Responsible for accurate planning data (integrity and quality).
May be responsible for packaging artwork creation and modifications (select sites); or coordinate with Corporate BIAH SNPM PLCM team.
Domestic Distribution (for POPU's that share a distribution center with the local BOPU):
Provide warehousing, pick, pack, and shipment activities on behalf of the Commercial SCM team.
Responsible for driving standardization, optimization for distribution processes based on guidelines of Global Distribution and Logistics to ensure compliant distribution to optimize time and cost.
Ensure distribution area continually operates within all SOPs and required domestic regulatory compliance and EHSS laws and guidelines.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Biopharmaceuticals, or Veterinary; advanced degree preferred.
More than ten (>10) years’ experience in Logistics/SCM in a multinational company, preferably in the Bio-/Pharmaceutical industry.
More than five (>5) years’ of expertise in Supply/Replenishment/Change Planning, Execution, Inventory Management and Implementation.
More than five (>5) years of experience in Sourcing (with CMOs), Contract/Launch/Performance/Project Management, Forecasting, and Supply Chain Cost control desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience
Experience in specific handling of vaccines (production specifics, transportation)
Expertise in international customs regulations relevant for Bio-/Pharmaceutical logistics.
Project management skills to lead complex organizational /process/IT-Projects/International SCM and/or within cross-functional context and strategic initiatives.
More than five (>5) years’ of experience of product transfers between production sites (Internal and External).
Deep knowledge of state of the art SCM concepts & methods as well as expertise in BPE.
Experience in organizational transformation (e.g. change management approaches)
Experience in ERP systems (i.e. SAP)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
