The Position

Throughout the lifecycle of Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) TA products, develop (Country) Medico-Marketing strategies and leads the implementation of the corresponding OPU ICP (Integrated Customer Plan) to achieve the Integrated Brand Plan (IBP) objectives. These strategies are part of a cross-functional effort (Medico-Marketing-Sales interaction) to provide scientific guidance and clinically meaningful information, ensuring that the right patients can take advantage of the full benefits of BI products. The strategies should help to drive the business, for (TA products).

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • With the Product Manager, lead the development and execution of the IBP cross-functionally (marketing, sales, regulatory affairs, health outcome and pricing, clinical operations, pharmacovigilance and other functions).

  • Develop and implement a medical affairs operational plan within the ICP that includes structured customer-facing activities (educational programs, product presentations, face to face meetings, train the trainer sessions, advisory board meetings, scientific exchange with regulatory and/or reimbursement authorities etc), appropriate expert engagement and advocacy development plans, as well as collection of key metrics.

  • Develop and maintain medical expertise for relevant BI products to meet both internal and external customer needs.

  • Support TA MSLs by providing guidance, coaching them on principles of external expert engagement (CEMM) and, by also, doing some direct observation in the field with them. They must have 4 coaching days per month.

  • Where and when applicable, work on generating and disseminating local data scientifically relevant to BI products.

  • Develop and maintain a robust customer-oriented digital program and tools aligned to the TA strategy.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine educational background is a must; having further training in medicine / internal medicine is a plus.

  • If not a specialist in his/her TA, must have at least 4 years of experience in TA Medical Affairs either as MSL or Associate MA. Leadership experience preferred.

  • TA experience in Specialty Products (Mental Health & Oncology) is preferred.

  • Aligns and collaborates with Marketing, Sales, Commercial operations, Market Access. Works closely with the TA Brand Team.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.
