Description:

BIO PMO oversees, manages and steers product launch preparation, launch execution and life cycle activities and thereby ensures on a strategic level the integrated management of biopharmaceutical products with the focus on launch, sustainable success and profitability. It covers all commercial biopharmaceutical products, and all strategic product aspects, e.g. safety, quality, supply chain design, production, risk, regulatory aspects, sourcing & outsourcing, cost and product budget, investments and cost-benefit analysis and crisis management.

The key accountability is overall product ownership and oversight for selected biopharmaceuticals by cross-functionally aligning all product relevant topics, leading cross-functional teams, coordinating cross-functional collaboration, drive product related decision making, representation and communication of the product to internal and external stakeholders.

Key deliverable is to prepare product launch and establish a product maintenance optimization strategy and link it to the BI-PM strategy

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive cross-functional Product Management for selected commercial BI biopharmaceuticals products throughout the entire value chain, covering all strategic product aspects, e.g. safety, quality, supply chain design, production, risk, regulatory aspects, sourcing & outsourcing, cost and product budget, investments and cost-benefit analysis and crisis management.

  • Establish, lead and coordinate the Product Team Operations.

  • Represent the product as primary contact to internal and external stakeholders incl. senior management and decision making committees. Oversee the product related communication and manage consistent messaging.

  • Establish and continuously improve processes, systems, organizational structure and collaboration

  • Oversee, monitor and manage the assigned products (routine)

  • Assess product related risks and initiate / implement appropriate risk mitigation actions and strategies

  • Ensure alignment of supply chain strategy (routine) with regulatory / legal requirements. Manage product related changes efficiently and ensure sustained market supply.

  • Develop the product maintenance optimization strategy, assess, identify & initiate potential improvements of product design, manufacturing process and cost.

  • Identify critical topics, propose and initiate operational and strategic tasks to achieve improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Biology and/or Chemistry required. Master or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution preferred.

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience leading projects and international exposure in daily business required.

  • Strong project leader with capability to excel in teamwork including integration of stakeholders within international, cross-functional matrix structures

  • Professional experience in leading cross-functional strategic tactical/ operational projects

  • Working experience in continuous process improvement and project management preferred

  • Experience in multicultural environments

  • Multi-disciplinary pharma industry experience in international environment

  • Professional experience in leading cross-functional strategic tactical/ operational projects

  • Excellent analytical, strategic and innovative thinking ability and strong business judgment
